There are a host of ways you can help our family bring our new child home. First and foremost, prayers, love, good vibes and general support during this emotional journey means the most to us. We are so appreciative of our family and friends who have opened their hearts to our adoption cause and feel so grateful to have such a strong support network. Thank you!
As many of you know, international adoptions are incredibly expensive. The total expected expense for the adoption will be over $40,000. We have set aside money, established donation pages, applied for grants, and hosted fundraisers throughout the process. Money donated will go towards our first phase of initial expenses:
- Application fee: $350
- Home study fee: $2,000-2,500
- U.S. Processing Fee: $1,950
- Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity (IAAME) Fee: $500
- U.S. Processing Fee: $3,000
- Adoption Program Fee: $13,360
- USCIS Fee: $945
- Adoption Training Classes: $150-750
- Third-Party Evaluations: $250-2,500
These initial fees do not include visa fees, post-placement fees, adoption finalization fees, or travel, lodging and transportation expenses that we will incur when bringing the child home. Some of those fees include:
- Homestudy Update Fees: $2232
- I800a Supplement 3 Filing Fees: $770
- Airline flights: $7513.62
- Post-placement Fees: $1500
- Hotel Accommodations in Thailand: $3256

Fundraising
We have hosted fundraisers throughout the process and will share those details here along the way. You can also host a fundraiser on our behalf in your own community. We know many other adoptive families have bake sales in their neighborhood or at church, put on a multi-family garage sale with donated items, or even host community dinners or auctions to raise funds.
If you feel like you can help us with fundraising events, please contact us so we can come up with a plan! Time and energy to collect donations is equally as valuable as money donated to our adoption.
